Soul points are the currency used for transcendence. Whenever a soul point is gained, it cannot be lost.
 
Soul points can be obtained in 3 ways
 
1. Gaining fame also gives soul points at a 1:1 ratio. Fame has multiple ways to be obtained, with the main source being killing enemies. You can also gain fame from level 30 potions and quest rewards.
 
2. Soul point potions can give varying amounts of soul points. There are 5 soul point potions in the game. Common - 10k / Uncommon - 20k / Rare - 35k / Epic - 60k / Legendary - 150k. These can be obtained from their respective keys.
 
3. Soul points are able to be purchased with glory at a 5:1 ratio. This means 5 glory will get you 1 soul point.

Transcendence
